The Plinth is a study in mass and perception. Raw concrete carries a shifting surface, while colour is held in the glass. The composition is deliberately off-centre.
The base is cast from solid concrete in a wooden mould made from carefully selected reclaimed timber. The wood is treated so that the softer fibres are removed, accentuating the grain. This structure is transferred directly into the concrete surface.
The glass top carries a gradient from pink to blue. Light passes through the surface and colours its surroundings. The shadow reflects the tone of the glass.
The base is positioned asymmetrically beneath the top. The balance is exact, but never centred.
The Plinth is produced exclusively on commission. No stock, no series production. Each piece is made to order.
